Rumor: new 15-inch MacBook Air could arrive in April

OElectricpig visited CU Exposed 2012, a Mac accessories fair that takes place in London (England). There, I heard from a vendor that Apple is launching a 15-inch MacBook Air in April, and that such a machine would possibly "kill" the same-size MacBook Pro.

New 15-inch MacBook Air

First of all, let's analyze this rumor very calmly. This is not the first time that the 15-inch MacBook Air issue appears to the contrary, we have talked about it a few times here on the site. If there is a plausible date for its arrival, it would be in April, when the new Intel chips should finally appear on the market.

The only strange thing in this story is the whole “death” of the 15-inch MacBook Pro, after all, we have a 13-inch version on both lines and not one killed the other. Would Apple, in addition to the white MacBook, also kill professional 13- and 15-inch notebooks? Still according to the news, the 17 ″ version would continue, since the professional market demand for it is relatively high.

Returning to the rumor, he comes from an important company that offers solutions docking for MacBooks which, of course, preferred to remain anonymous. In common, this type of partner knows about Ma's plans, in fact, this is true for any company, but you never know. The new machine would come with ports on both sides, without an optical drive and without an Ethernet cable port, according to the current MacBooks Air.
