Rumor: MacBook Pro will even have Touch ID on the on / off button

Rumors involving the arrival of a new MacBook Pro with an OLED screen above the keyboard and Touch ID have been circulating around for some time. The expectation is that this machine will be launched by the end of the year – not least because, the last update of the MacBooks Pro occurred in May 2015. We have already seen even the supposed housing of this computer, but now the 9to5Mac brought relevant information, shared by “a trusted source” on the site.

According to them, the new MBP will even come with Touch ID that will be implemented in the on / off button (based on the current configuration of Apple notebooks, it would be the first key in the upper right corner of the keyboard). The location makes a lot of sense because, by placing the Touch ID on this button, the user would follow the same one-touch process to turn on / wake up and authenticate (by fingerprint) the device, as already happens with the Home button (Home) for iPads and iPhones.

Taking into account that macOS Sierra codes also point to the arrival of this OLED screen above the keyboard and the Touch ID to the MBP, now it remains only to know when this machine will be launched – perhaps next to the “iPhone 7”, already in September.
