Updating an article with speculation about future iMacs and Macs Pro, the developer Marco Arment β creator of the famous Instapaper app β said last night he had gotten information about the next all-in-one Mac update.

According to him, the iMac should really be updated soon β but it will not come, yet, with a Retina display.
The reason for this can be explained by the simple fact that the iMacβs Retina display, with its 27 inches, must have absurd 5120 Γ 2880 pixels of resolution. There are no less than 14,745,600 points on the display β there is bandwidth, processor and graphics card to handle it! ?
It is not that Apple does not have the capacity to build such a screen, but it may be that mass production of it is not yet adequate at the moment β the same applies, by the way, to the Thunderbolt Display. Weβll see.
