Rumor: Here's the housing of the new MacBook Pro with OLED “row” keys, USB-C ports and more

No more iPhone rumor! How about one now for the users of MacBooks Pro, for a little change? 😜

We have already reported here on the site that new Pro machines could arrive later this year with an OLED screen above the keyboard and Touch ID. Guess what came up now in the interwebs! Yes, the supposed notebook housing.

If true, we will have good changes like the one above the keyboard screen (overriding the current line that brings some operating system and hardware-specific commands like keyboard illumination and speaker volume), a Force trackpad Bigger touch than the current one and a redesign of the speakers (note that we now have a hole in the sides of the keyboard, as in the 15 ″ MacBooks Pro this supposedly hollow casing to a 13 inch model).

Now, without a doubt, the most radical change would be in the physical connections of the computer. Instead of traditional USB ports, Thunderbolts, slot For SD and HDMI cards, we will have four new USB-C and the maintenance of the headphone jack (3.5mm). Although radical, this exchange was more than expected and it is nonetheless cool if we take into account the potential (data transmission, energy, audio / video, etc.) of the new standard. The downside besides using some adapters so you can use many of your current accessories is the death of MagSafe, this technology beauty that has already saved the lives of many notebooks.

Looking at the thickness of the new chassis and taking into account the size of the headphone jack, you will notice that it is significantly thinner than current models, thanks to this switch to USB-C ports.

Also note that in this comparative photo with the current MacBook Pro chassis, we see a much darker hue, suggesting that Ma follow the same path as the MacBooks selling the machine in possibly four color flavors: space gray, silver, gold and rose gold.

In a related note, the inventories of the Thunderbolt display they are low or even non-existent at several Apple stores in North America, Europe, Australia and other regions. With the proximity of WWDC 2016, the road that such a monitor has already traveled (it remains the same since 2011, what a life in the technology market) and the possible arrival of new technologies (DisplayPort 1.3, new processors from Intel, etc.). which may allow Apple to offer a 27 ″ inch 5K (or at worst 4K) monitor that can connect to notebooks, Macs mini and Macs Pro, we're all looking forward to.

Excited? With the exception of MagSafe morte's death, I even enjoyed the supposed changes.
