Rumor: Google Drive with 5GB free storage

In our previous Google Drive post, which cited a rumor released by the GigaOM blog, many of our readers complained that the Mountain View giant’s legendary service would not offer a reasonable and competitive space these days.

However, a screen captured by the Talk Android blog, shows that Google Drive should initially offer 5GB of free storage, in addition to the possibility of expanding the space, in paid mode, according to the user’s needs.

If the material is really true, Google Drive should debut at the URL drive.google.com and allow users to sync folders and files through a local client, something very similar to the operation of Dropbox.

The debut of the new service may take place during April.
