Rumor: Apple may have stopped production of 27-inch iMacs to solve problems

Sources linked to Hardmac claim that Apple made a new decision in the process of investigating problems with 27-inch iMacs, completely stopping the production of the machines until it can solve them. At the moment, the availability of the affected computers in the United States Apple Online Store is still scheduled for three weeks, but this period could be extended even further if the company fails to complete the ongoing investigations.

THE Gizmodo revealed a few days ago an internal note from Apple regarding a problem with the 27-inch iMacs, with reference to the appearance of yellowish colors on its screens. Apparently, he is preventing production from continuing, along with cases of graphic distortion that still exist on the machines of some users even after they have been updated to solve this.

Based on these graphical problems, the Hardmac believes that it is possible to expect from Apple a new firmware update to correct flaws, as well as at worst one recall for repairs to be made on the screens of the affected iMacs. Anyway, it is good not to try to buy any 27 inch model at the moment even though they are already available for ordering also in the Apple Online Store Brasil.
