According to a rumor released today by the Korean newspaper Electronic Times, Apple would be working to protect certain iPhone 7 components from electromagnetic interference, using an EMI coverage (electromagnetic interference).
The idea is not only to increase the performance of the device under certain aspects, such as having one more argument in order to reassure consumers concerned about electromagnetic waves emitted by cell phones / smartphones. The coverage would be applied to components of radio frequency (RF), wireless connectivity (Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, NFC, etc.), application processor (AP), modem and other chips.
According to sources in the vehicle, Apple would have selected the companies StatsChipPac and Amkor as responsible for this coverage in the manufacture of the iPhone 7.
