While we have seen some strong rumors about the imminent launch of the “AirPods Studio” – possible new member of the line, with circum-aural design (over-ear) – in parallel, there is also a question of when Apple will update the “Standard” AirPods.
Behold, today, Ming-Chi Kuo – an analyst at TF International Securities, known for his sure bets on future Apple launches – said the company was planning to launch the third generation of AirPods in the first half of 2021.
And yes, as past rumors have pointed out, the idea is that the design of these new AirPods will be very similar (if not identical) to that of the AirPods Pro.
Kuo gave no additional details, but this model would most likely differ from the more expensive Pro, as it does not incorporate the Active Noise Canceling feature. In addition, from now on we may also be closer to the launch of the second generation of AirPods Pro.
The analyst also took the opportunity, today, to reiterate another recent rumor: he really believes that Apple will no longer include, in the boxes of the line “iPhone 12”, EarPods headphones.
Just yesterday, in the middle of Sunday, Kuo brought possible extra details about the transition from Intel chips to ARM on Macs.
