Root for the Samsung Galaxy S3 Mini – fast, easy and without dirt!

The Samsung Galaxy S3 Mini is already available in the national market, costs $ 1,299 and can be rooted quickly, easily and without dirt.. This means that if you are interested in making your device 100% personalized, you can! Install the ROM you want, delete native applications and increase battery life.

Once again, we owe this tutorial to XDA-Developers, specifically to member avicohh, who created a pre-rooted firmware and made this process possible. This firmware based on the latest build number I8190 is identical to the original except for root.

Important: By flashing this firmware you will not do a Wipe, ie you will not miss anything!

You will need:

How to root Galaxy S3 Mini:

1. Download Avicohh Zip File and extract it to the desktop, you should get a tar file.

2. Open Odin 3 and insert the tar file into the PDA box.

3. With the device turned off, start it in download mode (volume down + Home + Power, once activated click on volume up).

4. Connect the phone using a usb cable to the PC and wait until Odin detects the phone.

Make sure that only the boxes in this image are enabled.

5. Click on Start.

Don't be surprised if it takes almost 10 minutes for the process to take place. After the image below appears, unplug the Galaxy S3 Mini from your PC and wait for the device to completely restart:

After the whole process is done, you will see the SuperSU app in your app box:

It is important to note that for some unknown reason it is impossible to start the device in Recovery Mode (through a combination of buttons). So if you want to do a data wipe, you need to access the factory reset menu or, if you have a boot loop problem, flash the WIPE_I8190.zip file via Odin in the PDA box, this will clean your data automatically. However, perform Wipe (data wipe) before performing the ROM installation you want.
