“Rise of the Tomb Raider” for Linux released


Feral Interactive today announced the launch of the game “Rise of the Tomb Raider” for Linux, the macOS version had been released a week ago by the company and we finally have the title “no penguin”.

The wait is over and we have another title “triple A” coming to the Linux platform. The announcement took place today and to celebrate we have a nice discount on Steam for players.

The action-adventure game came out in 2015 as exclusive to Xbox One and 360, coming out in 2016 for Windows. The versions for macOS and Linux only came out this month, however, with all the additional content already available. This is the direct sequel to the 2013 game “Tomb Raider”, which also has a version for Linux and macOS, and shows, as the title suggests, the incensation of the protagonist “Lara Croft” when she became a “Tomb Raider” , in the story the character tries to discover the mysteries of the mythical Russian city of Kitej, which, according to the game’s legends, contains the secrets to immortality.

At the time of writing this article the game is almost 70% off.

The game uses Vulkan only as a graphical API, helping to bring this new generation of computer games to life based on the new tool.
