Revolut will inaugurate Innovation and Support Center in Matosinhos. Company founders visit Portugal

On March 19, Revolut will inaugurate in Matosinhos, at 612 Avenida Menres, an Innovation and Support Center to house more than 100 fintech workers. In the near future, the company expects to increase the number of professionals and exceed 500, in different areas: financial crime, handling complaints, customer support and others. The opening event will be attended by the founders of Revolut, Nik Storonsky and Vlad Yatsenko.

It should be noted that in February 2019 the company had already installed 70 employees for customer support in the Ivens building, in the center of Matosinhos. Revolut's plan to make the center in Porto the second largest in Europe, after the facilities in Krakow, Poland, hiring new employees over the next few years.

Regarding the building chosen for the construction of the Centro Inovao, the company highlights the 84 years of history since it opened in Matosinhos. "Despite the existence, since the end of the 19th century, of numerous fish canning factories, it was only in 1936 that the first lithography was installed in Matosinhos with the capacity to do the colorful printing on flanders. It was the firm Amorim & Amorim, Ld. , which occupied – and expanded, the following year – a building with modernist architectural features ", refers to Revolut.
