Real Mac fans know how to point out exactly what wallpaper default for each version of macOS, right? Well… no, but it’s still pretty cool to have them all together in one place, in high resolution, to use at any time we want.
This is exactly what the people of 512 Pixels made: gathered the standard background images of all versions of Mac OS X macOS – from the Cheetah (10.0), back in 2001, until the present Catalina (10.15).
All wallpapers are in resolution 5K – Catalina’s are even bigger, even, to work perfectly in the two orientations of the Pro Display XDR. The older images, of course, were not available in these resolutions, so the work also involved some upscalling by the performers of the work. And it was great!
