The results of Google searches over the past decade are a journey through time. The most searched terms in the search engine help us remember situations experienced each year. In 2011 and 2012, for example, the Brazilian was still starting to use Facebook, so much so that the social network was the most searched subject in these years. In 2019, people showed a lot of interest in football, as well as personalities who died during the year.

Searches related to TV programs, such as reality shows and soap operas, are frequent. Likewise, issues related to education, such as ENEM and SISU, also appear widely among the surveys.

In addition to Facebook, in 2011 Brazilians also showed curiosity about public contests and through Tumblr. In 2012, interest in municipal elections was noticed in searches for Eeies and TRE (in reference to the Regional Electoral Court). In 2013, PEC 37, which had the objective of preventing members of the Public Ministry from investigating crimes, and the Telexfree scandal, were successful.
Among the searches in 2014, the World Cup in Brazil, the elections and the death of presidential candidate Eduardo Campos stood out. The following year was dominated by soap operas, with four different productions in the top 10. In 2016, the Chapecoense tragedy and the death of Domingos Montagner appeared on the list. In 2017, issues such as FGTS and SISU, the loss of Marcelo Rezende and Furaco Irma were on the Brazilian radar.
In 2018, the elections were again in focus. The names of Lula, Haddad and Jair Bolsonaro appeared in the top 10 searches, as well as the truckers strike, which stopped the country, and the death of Stan Lee. Closing the decade, in 2019, the highlights were the Copa America, which happened in Brazil, and the Brazilian. Job vacancies also appeared among the most sought after subjects.
