Google Photos has had a role in rediscovering photos from the past. Just like Timehop ββand Facebook, the app now shows photos taken that day in other years, all as simple as Google likes to do, check out the news.
The Rediscover Your Optional Day feature, a card will appear in the Google Photos Assistant asking if you want to receive "cards that help you recall old memories." After the function is enabled, a card will appear showing the pictures taken on the day in other years.

Facebook has a similar function, however I never used it much to compare; Timehop ββoffers a much more complete experience, as well as the photos stored in the cloud (Dropbox and Google) and saved on your desktop and Android, also shows your posts on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and Foursquare.
Timehop
Google Photos lets you share all the card images at once, but it has no other functions. In short, a very simple function, very well performed and suitable for nostalgics. The update that enables the function arrives from the server, so just wait.
