Rediscover that day with Google Photos

Google Photos has gained a function to rediscover photos from the past. Just like Timehop and Facebook, now the app shows pictures taken that day in other years, all as simple as Google likes to do, check out the news.

The Rediscover your day function is optional, a card will appear in the Google Photos Wizard asking if you want to receive “cards that help you recover old memories”. After enabling the function, a card will appear showing the photos taken on the day in other years.

Facebook has a similar function, however I never used it much to compare; Timehop offers a much more complete experience, since in addition to the photos stored in the cloud (Dropbox and Google) and saved on your desktop and Android, it also shows your posts on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and Foursquare.

Google Photos allows you to share all the images on the card at once, but has no other functions. In short, it is a very simple function, very well executed and suitable for nostalgic people. The update that enables the function arrives through the server, so just wait.
