Talkdesk launched on April 28 the recruitment platform Talkdesk CX Talent, to facilitate the management of candidates from clients in the middle of a pandemic. In 10 days, the site had the registration of 10,000 people, at a time when the Portuguese company also presented the Talkdesk Academy. In this case, the project integrates a set of free courses to develop skills.
The employment platform that uses artificial intelligence (AI) is open to any customer service provider that needs to reinforce the team. In the Talkdesk CXTalent marketplace, companies can find candidates, hire new people to fill open positions, expand business during peak times and reinforce teams.
The initiative of the unicorn company specialized in software in the cloud for contact centers aims to help people overcome unemployment caused by the current situation. In a statement, Tiago Paiva, CEO of Talkdesk, says that the combination of Talkdesk Academy with CX Talent offers solutions both for people whose job has been impacted by COVID-19, and for businesses where the demand for support has exceeded capacity existing workforce.
Even in early March, before the State of Emergency was declared due to the outbreak of the new coronavirus, the Portuguese company announced that it wanted to expand its presence in the Greater Lisbon area. Talkdesk chose Oeiras as the opening place for the fifth office in Portugal, looking for 100 new employees in the areas of cloud, SaaS (Software as a Service) and DEIA by the end of 2020.
