Recent update of MacBooks Pro with Retina display also brought internal changes

Contrary to what many imagined, the surprise update for MacBooks Pro with Retina display went beyond the simple addition of 0.1GHz in processors. According to recent leaked images, the computer brings updates of internal components, which can start to characterize it as a new model from the beginning of 2013 (Early 2013).

According to the new repair form (above), some hardware components have been updated, including SSD, logic board and I / O outputs. It has not yet been clear why such a silent and discreet update and not even if it will actually be considered as a new generation; however, there are other facts that lead us to believe this.

As the image above shows, the computer that came on the market is identified as the EMC 2673 model. It is hard to believe that Apple would change the model number just for a processor upgrade. The “change the model” standard was also applied to the 13.3-inch MacBook Pro, now being the EMC 2672.
