Last Tuesday, Richard Yu, executive responsible for Huawei's mobile sector, announced that the P40 line will be made official on March 26 in Paris, France. Now, with less than a month to go before the launch event, real images of the P40 were leaked.

The portal Digital Trends, which managed to capture some photos of the Chinese giant's next top of the line, says that although the smartphone looks like the P40 Pro, we are actually looking at the standard model. In place of the "Huawei" and "Leica" brands, the codenames "Polarie" and "Blink" were printed on the back.

Looking at the images, we see that the back is made of glass with rounded corners, while the sides are made of metal to ensure more robustness. In addition, we can also note that Huawei has chosen to place physical buttons of energy and volume.

In the upper left corner, there is a vertical module that houses three cameras, which according to some rumors deliver 52MP + 40MP + 8MP, being the last telephoto sensor. Beside, it looks like the Chinese manufacturer has inserted a 3D ToF sensor, microphone and LED flash. Finally, looking at the bottom of the P40, there is a UBS type-C port and speaker, but unfortunately we do not have a 3.5 mm headphone jack.

As previously mentioned, the P40 line should be officially announced on March 26. In addition to the P40, the P40 Pro and P40 Premium Edition are expected. Recalling that the most basic model, the P40 Lite, was launched by Huawei recently with Kirin 810 processor and 48MP camera.
