Questions about telecommunications? ANACOM online services grow and register more than 760 thousand visits

In the middle of a pandemic, ANACOM's Consumer Portal, NET.mede and COM.escolha received more than 760 thousand visits in the second quarter of this year. The figures, in the middle of a pandemic, represent an increase of 57.27% in relation to the previous quarter, with the regulator talking about a very significant growth both in the number of visits and in the number of pages visited, on the three platforms.

In terms of hard data, the three ANACOM sites received a total of 763,021 visits, of which 1,167,453 pages were viewed, plus 50.64%. The Portal's information content generated 190,119 visits, 39.37% more than in the previous quarter, with 354. 474 pages visited, an increase of 36.69%.

In view of the context of public health crisis that Portugal is going through, ANACOM launched in May a guide with questions and answers related to the telecommunications sector and a dedicated area exclusively COVID-19 on the Portal. On the website, the number of questions asked in the virtual assistant "Ask ANACOM" increased to 3,503 questions asked. This is a 50.93% growth compared to the previous quarter.

ANACOM's speed meter, NET.mede, generated 553,450 visits from users, 66.35% more than in the previous quarter, who consulted 733,807 pages, an increase of 62.65%. Even more significant was the number of tests carried out using an Internet browser: 793,750 tests, an increase of 94.70% compared to the period from January to March.

Also COM. Choice, ANACOM's communications services tariff comparator has seen growth. The number of visits, 19,452 and 79,172 pages consulted increased, 21.14% and 22.69%, respectively.
