Quanta Computer reaches new record in revenue, even with fall in production

Quanta Computer's production in November was slightly lower than in previous months: compared to October, it manufactured 100,000 fewer notebooks for other companies (among them, Apple). But the fact that she is responsible for the MacBooks manufacturing still allowed her to break a new record of revenue generated in just one month, thanks to the high price of Ma's product in relation to those of the other companies for whom she works, which have been very expensive and suffered with reduced sales.

According to the DigiTimes, Quanta's revenue in November was $ 2.88 billion for 3.8 million manufactured notebooks, an increase of 36.6% over the same period in 2008 and 8% over October. In contrast, some PC manufacturers have begun to feel the effects of netbook success and are experiencing significant losses in sales and revenue, causing a reduction in the pace of production.

However, the final result for Quanta's fourth quarter is expected to be less than this, due to a drop in production expected in December. Still, a 15 to 20% growth in revenue is guaranteed, although this may still be influenced by problems in the supply of parts.
