Problems with the touchscreen of iPad Pro continue to appear

A few months ago, we dealt here with a problem that would be arising in selected units of iPads Pro, related to the screens and touch sensitivity of tablets. Months later, Apple has not yet commented, but cases continue to arise in the world, as we are seeing in several sources.

Our reader Thiago Almino got in touch with us reporting his situation, in which a 12.9-inch iPad Pro started crashing touch screen; he managed to exchange the device under warranty, but the replacement unit had the same problem.

Thiago’s case is not unique: in the iFixit forum, a user accurately detailed all the steps taken to solve the problem with his iPad Pro (also 12.9 inches) – in the boy’s description, at certain times, it is impossible perform basic touches, slide, or zoom the screen; other actions, such as returning to the home screen, continue to be accepted.

THE Trusted Reviews it also brought several other cases reported by users on Apple’s forums. In other words, we are not talking about a rarity that affected one or two iPads around the world, but something that has reached a non-negligible number of users – including here in the team MacMagazine (Marcelo Melo and Ramon Nicotari have already been through the problem).

And Apple remains silent about everything, which is the most unnerving: it is not demanding that the company take all existing iPad Pro in the world and replace them with perfect units, but that we have some recognition that the problem exists – in this way, users gain at least a certain sense of security that, in the event of failure, they will be covered by the manufacturer, even outside the warranty.
