We've talked here a few times about the Display Industry Awards, award from Society for Information Display (SID, the organization of the canvas industry that develops standards and discusses possibilities for the future of the segment). In previous years, Apple products like the Apple Watch Series 4, iPhone X and iPad Pro have already been honored; in the 2020 edition of the award, it was the Pro XDR Display.
Ma's professional monitor was named one of three "Screens of the year", the main category of the award. The association praised the product for its professional calibration, color accuracy, maximum brightness level, contrast ratio and its price, much more affordable than other reference monitors, it is the ?most comprehensive feature set on a monitor in its range price, ?according to SID.
After a long technical breakdown of the features and technologies employed by the Pro Display XDR, the association classified the monitor as follows:
With incredible colors, advanced calibration and Extreme Dynamic Range (XDR) with industry-leading contrast and brightness, in addition to innovative screen technologies, the Pro Display XDR offers image quality and performance previously found only on top-of-the-line reference monitors .
The other two ?Screens of the Year? at the Display Industry Awards were the 65-inch Cell Display UHD BD, from BOE Technology, and the folding screen of Samsung Display coincidentally (or not), both are suppliers of screens to Apple in the world of mobile devices.
Not bad, huh?
