Prince of Persia returns in virtual reality

The Prince of Persia saga is back. Maybe not in the way we wanted, but the truth is that we will have a new game to play.

Ubisoft has announced that it will launch Prince of Persia: Dagger of Time, which will be an escape room in virtual reality to enjoy alone or in the company of up to three friends. The title will have an atmosphere inspired by the "thousand and one nights" universe of the previous chapters, but will have puzzles as the main focus.

The ability to manipulate time will be present, which is a characteristic power of the protagonist of the saga; there will be many pitfalls to avoid and an apocalyptic event to stop.

Ubisoft is launching this adventure in 300 escape rooms around the world, including Europe. Previously, the company had already developed similar experiences inspired by the Assassin's Creed universe.

In addition to resurrecting the saga, the news indicates that Ubisoft has not forgotten this universe. Remember that a new Prince of Persia for consoles, or PC, has been released since 2010, when Forgotten Sands hit the market. It should be noted that the current generation of consoles has not yet received any title from this universe, so the imminent launch of the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X indicates that this should no longer happen.

Is this a way to pave the way for the arrival of a new Prince of Persia for PS5 and XSX?
