This Thursday, October 13, tablets produced in Brazil are expected to suffer a 30% reduction in their final prices. The magic occurs after the approval of a law that grants tax incentives for the production of tablets in Brazil.
The law sanctioned by President Dilma Rousseff defines tablets as “automatic data processing machines, portable, without a keyboard, which have a central processing unit with data input and output through a touch screen with an area greater than 140 cm and less than 600 cm and that do not have a remote control function ”.
The measure, which seeks to stimulate a lower price for consumers and bring their manufacturing to Brazil, also helps manufacturers like Motorola and Samsung to make the segment even more competitive.
