Preliminary arrival of the new MacBooks Air in China already gives an indication of how much Apple can sell there

Although they have been released internationally for several weeks (check out our review), the new MacBooks Air are only now arriving in China and initially in a "preliminary" manner in Hong Kong, where Apple does not even have an official Retail Store.

According to Brian White, an analyst at Ticonderoga Securities, the last few days have been marked by long lines at Ma's authorized (and probably unauthorized) resellers, which have had their stocks depleted quickly. The novelty also pumped sales of certain models of iPhones 4 and iPads 2 the so-called “Halo Effect”, which were already somewhat stabilized by there.

A few days ago, IDC data revealed that China has overtaken the United States as the largest computer market on the planet. The public with the potential to purchase these products has increased considerably over the past few years, and there are virtually no products on the market with the same characteristics as MacBooks Air, so according to White, Apple has everything to make the party in the land of rolls spring.

In its last fiscal quarter, Ma announced that $ 3.8 billion of its revenue (13% of the total) came from China and this could grow even further going forward. The new Airs are likely to land in mainland China probably next week.
