Pop Home Switch is Logitech’s solution for controlling smart homes

Logitech has just announced a simple solution to control smart homes, the Pop Home Switch. It is a device containing only one big button that connects to your smart devices.

His intention is to allow anyone to be able to control smart devices even without having a smartphone and an app to do so. This means that even those who don’t deal with technology very well can use it, since they only need to know how many times to press the button in order to get what they want from the devices.

Pop connects via Bluetooth or Wi-Fi to products such as LIFX and Phillips Hue lamps, Sonos speakers, Logitech’s own control (Harmony) and many others. In addition, it is possible to connect it to IFTTT, creating various recipes that provide you with a much wider range of connectivity.

There are only three commands: one click, two clicks or a long click. You just need to use his own application to configure exactly which action you want each click to perform, which can be a combination of actions. For example, you can create a recipe so that, with one click, the lights are turned off and Netflix also opens.

Basically a larger version of the Flic laptop, the Pop fits in the palm of your hand and can be fixed to any wall in your home. It is compatible with both iOS and Android.

THE Starter Pack do Pop is pre-sold for $ 100 (two units and a plug adapter) and, for those who need to buy more spare units, you can do it for $ 40 each. For now, it is only being sold in the United States and can be purchased directly from the Logitech website.
