POCO F2 Pro: the new smartphone wants to be a "flagship killer" and comes with the right weapons

The online launch is being broadcast on the various channels of POCO and SAPO TEK is following all the news about the new smartphone from the Xiaomi family brand, which became independent from the Chinese manufacturer earlier this year.

"In 2018 we moved the market with the Pocophone F1 and now we are going to do the same with the POCO F2 Pro", said POCO product marketing manager, Angus Ng, at the launch of the new smartphone, ensuring that "a beast" in everything you want to do, from videos to gaming

The processing power is one of the highlights of the new smartphone, with the Snapdragon 865 with a speed up to 2.84 Ghz, which is 25% faster and has been combined with improvements in RAM and storage.

Liquid Cool's technology ensures the refreshment needed to balance a 4,700 mAh battery, the Snapdragon processor and 5G support, increasing the number of hours of use.

"With 2 hours of use the POCO F2 Pro remains cooler than the competition" says Angus Ng.

The comparison with the top of the range Samsung and OnePlus made with confidence by Angus Ng, who also showed comparisons in gaming, with refresh rates in which the POCO F2 Pro appears with better performance.

The marketing manager also shows other novelties for gaming, such as a refresh rate of 180 Hz on the screen, and a Z-axis engine to be able to send messages with the phone horizontally.

With pop-up front camera feature, 6.67-inch Oecr, FHD + AMOLED truly used for the image, without notch, with a 92.7% ratio, HDR10 + and 360 ambient light functionality.

Also count on the fingerprint reader under the screen, Android 10 and the POCO Launcher 2.0, the skin developed by the company.The rounded shape, a door for headphones and a range of colors between gray, white, blue and lils, just other features to highlight.

Four round rear chambers

The design had already been anticipated, with the arrangement of the rear cameras in a circle shape that we have seen in other Nokia and Huawei phones.

The four cameras include a 64MP Sony IMX686 main sensor, a 13MP 123 degree ultra wide, 5MP telemacro and 2MP depth sensor.

In the front camera POCO bets on a pop up sensor, which makes the entire screen available for images, gaming and videos. The 20 MP camera sensor, supporting 120 fps slow motion.

And the price? "Samsung costs a thousand euros and the OnePlus 800 euros, for me they are a bit expensive", admits the person in charge of product markting. the price that makes POCO different from other flaghships, with the smartphone being put on the market with a value from 499 euros for 6GH of RAM and 128 GB of storage, which rises to 599 euros for 8GB and 256 GB .

"If we compare it with other smartphones, we compare it well with most specifications and with a price that is half that of the Samsung S20", says the product marketing manager.

Similar to the Pocophone F1, the only smartphone produced by POCO and which was also launched in Portugal, with a value starting at 330 euros, the price as presented as the main differentiating factors, but not the only one.

The POCO F1, the only device produced by the former Xiaomi brand, made its debut in the smartphone market in August 2018, arriving with the promise of quality for a more affordable price in the order of 300 euros. The smartphone had a Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor, 6 GB of RAM, a 6.18 inch FullHD + LCD screen, two 20 MP + 5 MP rear cameras and a 20 MP front camera.

The mobile phone has gained popularity around the world, especially in India, and according to Manu Kumar Jain, the POCO F1 surpassed the OnePlus 6 as the best-selling smartphone in the country.

The new POCO F2 Pro starts selling today on Gearbest and AliExpress, but there are more stores promised soon.
