Plastic leaves, paper enters; thinking about the environment, Apple will exchange its traditional bags

Apple's white plastic bags are as traditional as their products. Only that they go completely against the company's efforts to be increasingly friendly to the environment. At its last special event, for example, Apple reported that currently 93% of the company's energy consumption from renewable sources (the target is 100%) and that 90% of its packaging already uses recycled paper or originates of forests focused on environmental preservation.

From April 15, however, these plastic bags will be replaced by paper bags made from 80% recycled material. Such bags will come in medium and large sizes, but customers do not necessarily need to receive one when purchasing a product. At the time of purchase, the Apple employee will ask you whether or not you want a bag (after all, many prefer to put the product purchased in their own backpack / bag, avoiding waste).

Apple Retail Stores that still have a very large stock of plastic bags will continue to distribute them until they run out of, yes, exchange for recycled paper. It remains to be seen how to design the new bag, perhaps it will be similar to those distributed with the Apple Watch.

On a related note, the Gift Card (Gift Card) which Apple gives to customers who take their iGadgets old Apple Retail Stores to be recycled is also made from recycled paper.
