And we're back with the most important recent updates from the App Store! Shall we go for them?

Pixelmator Photo

Pixelmator Photo: Pro Editor app icon

The iPad photo editor has received an update that, as it should be, takes advantage of all the new features in iPadOS 13. The app works in perfect sync with the new Archives app (Files), including accepting files imported directly from external drives.

In addition, Pixelmator Photo 1.1 has a new batch editing feature, whereby you can apply quick adjustments to multiple images at once by selecting multiple photos and tapping the option. Batch.

The application has also changed how it works: photos continue to receive non-destructive editions, but those editions are now saved in an attached .photo format file; The settings are applied directly to the main file. With this, you no longer need to export the images when you complete your edits all immediately reflected in your gallery. This has a good side effect: You can edit photos directly in the Photos app or in Files.

The bird social network app received two news, both related to Direct Messages (DMs). The first is the ability to search for messages: just type whatever you want in the search bar at the top of the screen and see the results that include users, names or terms typed in conversations. The feature, for now, will be available only on iOS, but will soon come to Android and the web.

In addition, the network is including in all its apps (and on the web) a new anti-abuse filter in their private messages. The feature uses artificial intelligence to automatically hide messages that may include abusive content even if they come from people you follow and / or know. These messages will be included in the same tab where the message requests are today.

O tweet below last August (when the feature was still in the testing phase) gives you an idea of how it works:

Unwanted messages are not fun. So we are testing a filter on your DM requests that will keep them out of your sight and mind.

Pinterest, meanwhile, now supports iOS 13 Dark Mode which means the app now follows its global visual preference.
