The image above is really amazing. What are you seeing the entire screen of the first iPhones (320 Γ 480 pixels, before they became Retina) in the empty space between two icons of the iPad Pro screen. Yes, there are 324 pixels wide over there! π

Despite being somewhat bizarre, it shows how Apple could make better use of this whole space. One or more extra cone columns can easily fit in there, but for now iOS simply makes them more spaced.
