A vulnerability in Photoshop for Windows and macOS caused Adobe to release this Wednesday (22) an emergency update. According to the manufacturer's security bulletin, the update corrects a loophole that allows remote code execution, paving the way for criminals to break into the computer.
The update to mandatory version 19.1.6 for users of Photoshop CC 2017 (18.1.6) and CC 2018 (19.1.5). The urgency of the measure, which has a critical status, comes just one day after the weekly security update package, which is always released on Tuesdays. The download must be done by the native tool Adobe Updater, which comes with the image editing software.

On Tuesday (21), Adobe released another 11 security patches for users of its products for Windows and Mac, including two critical solutions for the Adobe Reader PDF reader. The manufacturer considered the vulnerability level three; that is: a loophole (already solved) that was found in a product that has no history of hacking attacks.
Reader flaws are similar to those found in Photoshop, which allow a hacker to run codes on the victim's computer. The software manufacturer did not provide further details about the vulnerability.
Updates to Photoshop and other Adobe products, remember, can only be obtained by users who have purchased the license or have an active subscription to the original Adobe Creative Cloud services. Therefore, computers that run pirated versions of the program remain vulnerable.
