Photoshop for iPad will be released later this year, but without some features

H about a year ago, Adobe announced that it would release a full version of Photoshop CC for iPad in 2019; since then, the company has remained silent about software development, except for the beta program openings last May, which still left many people in doubt about the future of the app.

However, according to a new report from Bloomberg, there's nothing to worry about: Adobe said it remains committed to launch Photoshop CC for iPad by the end of the year; Further details about the software will be released during the Adobe MAX conference in early November.

Adobe is currently testing Photoshop CC with a small group of beta users, some of which reported “limited or missing features” related to key editor features such as filters, pen tool, custom brushes, RAW editing, and vector drawings.

For this reason, Adobe Creative Cloud Product Director Scott Belsky confirmed that Photoshop will be launched without some features initially, but has ensured that other features will be added over time in future updates.

Originally, Photoshop CC for iPad should allow users to open and edit PSD files with the ability to start editing on Apple's tablet and continue into a desktop version thanks to Creative Cloud integration.

We'll see what comes from Adobe's prosperous release. In the meantime, we can only wait.
