Photo montage apps are becoming increasingly popular and easy to use, winning different versions for Android and iPhone (iOS). For example, apps allow you to merge multiple images and organize them into predefined or free-to-create layouts. A common use for these tools is the production of cards of different themes, including commemorative dates such as birthdays.
THE TechTudo has broken down five app alternatives for making photo montages and posting to social networks. Some have premium versions, but all can be downloaded for free.

PicsArt, available for Android and iPhone (iOS), acts as a social network where users share their photos and show how they made the effects. To create an assembly, simply click the "+" symbol on the home screen and scroll down to "Collages". Options include "Grids" where you use predefined layouts; "Freestyle", which allows you to organize photos as you wish and "Frames" for making birthday cards, for example. The app has a limit of up to ten photos per collage. You can also change the aspect ratio of the image, set the border thickness or change the background.

Photo Grid is also available for Android and iPhone (iOS) users. The option to make assemblies is in the Grid tool, which can be found on the home screen. Your limit is nine photos and videos or 15 photos per collage. As you add images, the app shows layout options for them. After choosing it, you can still edit the border, change the aspect ratio, background, add text, among other options.

Available only for Android, Photo Editor has the paste option right from the home screen. The app lets you select up to 18 photos. After choosing them, you can set layout, frame and background, as well as apply filter effects, add text, stickers and other options.

PicCollage, available for Android and iPhone (iOS), has three photo collage options. Under Grids, you choose options for predefined layouts, including the option to change the frame thickness, resize the collage, or change the background. In "Freeform", in addition to changing the size and position of your photos as you wish, you can add text, stickers, background or simply scribble. Already "Cards" are backgrounds with different styles and themes. It even includes a planner and a calendar. The limit of 30 photos per collage.

Finally, available for Android and iPhone (iOS), Canva also includes the function of making photo collages. Right on the home screen, the option is called "Photo Montage". By clicking on it, there are several themes you can choose from, such as fashion, tourism, art or birthday photos. Just choose an option and start editing.
