Phonophone II is more than an amplifier, it is a work of art

Using scientific knowledge about acoustics, ceramic art and great taste, designer Tristan Zimmerman created this piece that, without using additional electricity, manages to amplify the sound of an iPod's headphones to up to 55 decibels more or less the same as those laptop speakers at maximum volume. According to the creator, the Phonophone II provides a "warm, rich and resonant" sound.

The piece is for sale on the Unica Home or in Charles & Marie, and leaves for the US $ 500 trifle (white; the black variant costs US $ 100 more, with only 200 pieces of this). As I said above, much more a work of art guy than a utilitario.Voc would face?
