The Lightning connector is one of the new features of Apple's new mobile devices. As it is much smaller than the old 30-pin standard, it is impossible to use older accessories with the new ones iGadgets without putting an adapter between them.
As expected, the first Lightning-compatible products started to appear, in time for Christmas. THE Philips yesterday announced its new speakers with the new connector.
Four models will be available in stores this month: Philips Lifestyle Music System (DCM2067), Philips Portable Docking Speaker (DS7580), Philips Room to Room Docking Speaker (DS3205) and Philips Bedroom Docking Speaker (DS1155).
From the most powerful sound systems to the most portable, Philips is filling the market well and preparing for the most profitable season of the year. Other companies are expected to announce their Lightning-compatible products soon.
