
A DNA sequencing company invited Apple’s senior vice president of worldwide marketing, Phil Schiller, to integrate your Board of Directors. In an official note, Illumina comments on the choice:

Founded in 1998, Illumina is a biotechnology company based in San Diego (California), United States. Its focus includes solutions in genetic research to leverage advances in research in life sciences, consumer and transformational genomics, and molecular diagnostics.
As we always follow here in , Schiller has a great deal of experience working at Ma since 1997 and taking care of marketing various products such as Mac, iPod, iTunes, iPad, iPhone, Apple TV and Apple Watch. In addition, since December he has been largely responsible for the App Store.
Having a bachelor's degree in biology earned in 1982 from Boston College, Schiller is sure to contribute greatly while on Illumina's board.
