Pegatron employees are arrested for stealing more than 200 iPhones and accessories

O ShanguaiDaily.com reported today that six workers in the Pegatron (Apple partner) and four who worked at the restaurant inside the automaker received sentences ranging from 8 months to 7 years in prison for stealing 227 iPhones, 360 logic boards and 58 line batteries from 8 months to 7 years in prison production facilities in order to resell in the parallel market.

According to prosecutors, employees began to act soon after the launch of the iPhone 6 in 2014. Workers on the production line stole the devices / accessories and hid them in the factory bathroom. Afterwards, they passed everything on to the Pegatron restaurant manager, who hid the products in the various facilities to which he had access and then took them out of the factory.

The sum of stolen products / accessories reaches almost R $ 600 thousand.
