You can trust Other World Computing to bring truly professional and full of options for Macs and PCs (where ports on both sides are increasingly rare). The manufacturer recently launched its new dock Thunderbolt 3 with 14 ports to meet all your connection needs in the same elegant aluminum housing.
The accessory is an updated version of the dock that OWC had presented at CES 2018, with some differences. It still has two Thunderbolt 3 ports that can even be used to charge your MacBook [Pro] up to 85W (that is, the maximum power supported by the 15-inch MacBook Pro); in addition, we have a USB-C port on the front that offers up to 15W of power to charge mobile devices, such as iPhones or iPads.
OWC included five USB-A ports (one at the front), an S / PDIF, a Mini DisplayPort, a Gigabit Ethernet and an analog audio output. We also have, to complete, a reader for SD cards and – another novelty – another for microSD cards; thus, both users of smartphones and other smaller devices as well as professional photographers and camera owners can enjoy the benefits of the accessory without extra adapters.
The Thunderbolt 3 Dock costs $ 300 and is now available for sale on the OWC website in two versions: space gray and silver.
