Other World Computing announced yesterday the availability of the OWC Mercury Helios PCIe Thunderbolt Expansion Chassis, a Thunderbolt device that has a PCI Express card / card slot.
Very flexible, Mercury Helios supports multiple types of PCIe cards / cards (up to 6.5 ″), including fiber channels, 10-Gigabit Ethernet, RAID controllers, video capture cards, digital audio, solid state drives, controllers SAS and FireWire / USB / eSATA adapters.
At the rear of the structure, users also have an extra Thunderbolt port for linking other devices.
The OWC Mercury Helios PCIe Thunderbolt Expansion Chassis is now available for sale for $ 380. It comes with a three-year warranty.
