Outlook for iPads and iPhones / iPods touch is released on the App Store

Today painted on the App Store an application desired by many: the Outlook, from Microsoft.

The official Microsoft Outlook application, developed for iPhone and iPad.

Outlook is a free email application that helps you with various activities on the go with a unified view of your email, calendar, contacts and attachments. Outlook highlights your most important messages from your email accounts. Swipe to quickly delete, archive or schedule messages that you want to handle later. Easily view your calendar, share available times and schedule meetings. And attach files from your email, OneDrive or Dropbox with just a few taps.

A few months ago, Microsoft acquired Acompli, the company responsible for creating an e-mail client of the same name. Because this app was quickly promoted and became the Outlook that we are seeing now.

Too early to say, but it seems that Outlook has arrived to fight with the “big ones” (like Mailbox and Mail Pilot just to name two).

The app's differentials are: automatic sorting of the Inbox (highlighting the most important emails, the least relevant ones are placed in the inbox entitled “Others”); built-in calendar (increasing productivity as it is no longer necessary to jump from the Mail app to the Calendar); facility to attach documents as the app is fully integrated with Dropbox, Google Drive and OneDrive; in addition to powerful filters and searches.

Practically everything that made Acompli stand out and attract Microsoft's attention to the point of being acquired is in Outlook. And, as he is free, it is worth downloading the test.
