Online survey of Borders bookstore cites alleged Apple “iPAD”, competitor of Amazon Kindle

Borders

I don't know how relevant this is, but the Mac | Life yesterday found a curious reference for an “Apple iPAD (large screen reading device)” in a questionnaire sent by the Borders chain of bookstores:

<img class = "lazy lazy-hidden aligncenter size-large wp-image-65227″ title=”iPAD at Borders” data-lazy-type=”image” src=”https://.uol.br/wp-content/uploads/2009/08/15-borders-550×342.jpg” alt=”iPAD at Borders” width=”550″ height=”342″ />

The key point of all this is that, if such an Apple tablet is really focused on eBooks, Borders would certainly have at least been consulted by Cupertino executives, perhaps even was already involved in a launch strategy with a range of titles ready for debut.

On the other hand, the inclusion of the option in the research may have to do only with recent rumors that run through the web. Many even noticed errors in the same list as "iTouch" (instead of iPod touch) and "Blackberry" (the right BlackBerry), which indicates that the guys are not very concerned with the nomenclature of these gadgets.

At the end of last month, the Silicon Alley Insider stated that the creation of an iTunes Store for electronic books was out of the question at Apple.
