Media Markt, one of the largest electronics retailers in Germany, appears to have revealed the supposed price of Apple tablet today, via Twitter. A message from the person responsible for the company's profile announced that the new product would start to be sold in the country as of March 1, but it was taken off the air after a few minutes.
At thetweet, it was also specified that the price of the tablet would be 500 euros (about R $ 1,285), through a subsidy with T-Mobile, or 900 euros (~ R $ 2,310), without a link with operators. Even if the information is not entirely correct, it is almost certain that the new product from Apple will also depend on contractual link with telecoms to be more accessible to users.
However, it is strange that Ma revealed this information to her partners before tomorrow's event, even if they are operators. Anyway, it was already predicted that his tablet would not be on sale already on Wednesday, but I imagine that this price policy will be disappointing for many people, if it is confirmed tomorrow.
It seems that everything was just a bad joke: in a statement to the IT blog Golem (translated from German), Media Markt denied having any relationship with the Twitter account that sent the update above. Less badly: the price charged for the “Apple tablet” was too high.
