OnePlus unveiled its new smartphone, the OnePlus Nord, in an online event designed in augmented reality. And to maintain a certain consistency, he created an app so that fans of the brand could watch the event in augmented reality from their smartphone. To help the brand, there is nothing like having the famous presenter George George Hilsenteger from Unboxing Therapy to help unbox the equipment.
The transmission stood out for its projection through the smartphone's "eyes", with several videos about the history of OnePlus floating through the air. However, being an experimental presentation, obviously not everything went as planned, with the images disappearing, a bit like our own experience at home, via smartphone. Until it finally stabilized.
The smartphone features a Snapdragon 755G processor, thus being optimized for the fifth mobile generation. Inside it also has 12 GB of RAM and 256 GB of internal storage, and a lower configuration of 8/128 GB of RAM.
The equipment has a 6.44-inch AMOLED screen, with a refresh rate of 90 Hz. Note its minimalist frame, with two punch-holes for the front cameras. It has metal side boats, with a small slider. Also noteworthy is the 4,100 mAh battery, supported by Warp Charge 30T technology, capable of charging 70% of the battery in half an hour.
One of the highlights of the smartphone is the presence of an alignment of six cameras: two front and four rear cameras. The front cameras have a 32MP Sony IMX616 sensor and an 8MP ultra wide-angle secondary lens and a 105 degree aperture. The four rear cameras are made up of a Sony 48 MP OIS main lens with Nightscape mode, similar to the OnePlus 8. It also has a f / 2.4 macro camera and an 8 MP ultra wide angle camera.
The brand also updated its operating system OxygenOS 10.5, based on Android 10, promising to be faster, with an optimization in the faster loading of apps. There are also Google applications pre-installed, as well as the Duo communication apps.
It also presented the OnePlus Buds, the wireless headsets with environmental noise cancellation and 30 hours of autonomy.
The smartphone arrives in three colors: gray, white and blue. Regarding prices, the OnePlus Nord will be launched in Europe on August 4 at 399 euros. When OnePlus Buds headsets arrive at stores for 89 euros.

As far as prices are concerned, Pete Lau, CEO of the company, had already confirmed to the international press that the cost of the new OnePlus Nord will be below 500 dollars. Also in this month, the official informed that the smartphone would reach Europe and India first and that an exclusive number of North American users would have the opportunity to try it through a beta program after the official launch date.
