Several leaks point out that OnePlus is preparing to make its new smartphones top of the line official, which will hit the market as OnePlus 8 and OnePlus 8 Pro. Unfortunately, the Chinese manufacturer has not yet revealed the launch date of these models, but it is believed that this should not take long to happen.
Now, OnePlus 8 has been found in the GeekBench database, which confirmed what we already expected: this device will have cutting edge hardware. The company's next flagship registered impressive numbers, totaling 4,276 points in the Single-Core tests and 12,541 in Multi-Core tests. This represents one of the highest scores ever issued by the GeekBench.
However, it is quite likely that the OnePlus 8 that went through the benchmark platform is still in development. Therefore, there is a possibility that the score will be even higher and, consequently, we will have a more powerful smartphone than expected.
The GeekBench listing also confirmed some of the specs of this device, like 8GB of RAM and Snapdragon 865 processor, which is hardly surprising. Rumors suggest that the Pro version should deliver 16GB of RAM, just as we saw in the Galaxy S20 Ultra.
As previously said, OnePlus has not yet revealed when it plans to announce its new smartphones, but considering that the OnePlus 7 was introduced in May last year, it is believed that the next generation should arrive in the same month this year. Reportedly, the company must also make a Lite version official, but so far there are not many details about it.
