On the 15th anniversary of OS X, a beautiful concept for “macOS”

Who signs the calendar you already know: today’s birthday (Mac) OS X, the 15th since its original launch on March 24, 2001 (version 10.0 “Cheetah”).

Taking advantage of the opportunity, the designer Andrew Ambrosino published on Medium an excellent concept for a future "MacOS" yes, it would start with the name change that makes perfect sense compared to the other three Apple operating systems: iOS, watchOS and tvOS.

Ambrosino, author of several other concepts that we already show here on the site, is betting on a greater convergence of OSes, in framework UIKit, a new content model and a greater focus on people.

In addition to explaining his whole idea, the designer also created visual concepts that show apps / features like Siri, a new Finder, Apple Music, Sade, Contacts and others running on “macOS”. Some of you check it out above others, in Medium's own post or in Ambrosino's Dribbble.

Let something like this really arrive this year! 😉
