The Witcher 3 is one of the most popular and successful games of the current generation. The title was released in 2015 and not only won several awards for Best Game of the Year as it catapulted CD ProjektRED to stardom. It is also because of this game that Cyberpunk 2077, the next title of the stadium, is one of the most anticipated adventures of the year. But and after this RPG, whose debut is scheduled for September, what does the Polish company have to offer us? According to the CEO of CDPR itself, there will even be a new The Witcher.
AdamKiciski confirmed that there is already a clear concept for the next chapter in the saga. Speaking with Eurogamer Poland, the manager responsible for the stadium explained that the game will not follow the story of the previous ones, so Geralt should not be the protagonist of this title.
Kiciski did not make CDPR's intentions clear for the next The Witcher, but stated that he wants to keep the RPG elements that distinguished the series' previous titles.
The CEO also confirmed that CD Projekt Red has no intention of creating a new proprietary universe, at least in the near future. In practice, this means that the stadium teams will remain focused on developing the Witcher and Cyberpunk universes.
