The second generation of iPhone SE is already a reality. Apple confirmed the model after months of speculation and rumors. The iPhone SE has a 4.7-inch Retina HD display, equipped with a Touch ID authentication system. It is the most affordable smartphone of the brand, presenting itself at a price of 399 dollars and pre-orders will start next Friday, April 17th.
In Portugal, the official website lists it at 499 euros for the 64 GB version, 549 euros for 128 GB and 669 if you choose 256 GB of internal storage. The smartphone will have three colors: black, white and RED, the red color that characterizes this special edition. As always, each iPhone SE RED sold contributes a percentage to the Global Fund to fight AIDS.
The iPhone SE is equipped with the A13 Bionic processor and a camera with features similar to its top models. According to the blog, the equipment presents all computational benefits applied to photography, including Portrait mode. In addition, the smartphone is resistant to dust and water, that is, it has IP67 certification, capable of surviving a depth of up to one meter, for 30 minutes.
The first iPhone SE was a success, with many customers highlighting the combination of a small size, but with top performance, at an affordable price, highlights Phil Schiller, the company's vice president of global marketing. He adds that this second generation was built on the same principles, but promises improved equipment compared to the original.
Apple also points out that the model's screen offers the True Tone system, which adjusts white balance automatically to illuminate the environment, in order to offer a more natural viewing experience with more vibrant colors. It also supports Dolby Vision and HDR10 video. For a better feeling of writing and interaction with the smartphone, the model also has an haptic touch system to actions, from live animated photos, preview messages before sending, among other contextual actions of the menus.
The popular Home button has been redesigned and features a sapphire crystal in order to protect the sensor from use over time. It also has a steel ring to detect users' fingerprints in Touch ID authentication. It also presents other security alternatives, such as the possibility of saving passwords in iCloud Keychain to authorize purchases on the App Store and make transactions on the Apple Pay service.
For those who want to use the camera to record videos, it is well served: stabilization system in both the front and rear cameras. And if you record with the main camera, you can record 4K quality images at 60 FPS. Also consider HDR for higher quality images when recorded at 30 FPS. Apple also introduces the QuickTake system to record video without leaving Photography mode. Supported by iOS 13, users can edit photos and videos with the native tools on the device.
Apple promises a model built with the same security standards that its customers would expect, including privacy protection and complete control of your information. Also have access to AI platform and machine learning to organize the photos in the equipment in a simpler way.
In addition to the smartphone, the box also includes EarPods connected via Lightning, a Lightning to USB adapter cable and a 5W USB power adapter.
