Office package on mobile: app rene Word, PowerPoint and Excel; know how to use | Productivity

Microsoft released on Monday (17) a new Office suite application on the phone. Now, instead of several separate apps, the new Office lets you view and edit Word, Excel, PowerPoint documents and allows you to perform other tasks such as scanning files and signing PDFs. The novelty is available for Android and iPhone users (iOS).

In the following tutorial, check out how to install and use the new Office suite app on Android. The procedure was performed on a Moto G7 Play with Android 9.0 (Pie), but the tips also apply to other phones with the Google system.

Step 1. Download and install the new Office app on your phone. When you open it for the first time, touch "Let's start". Then press "Connect your account" and log in;

Step 2. Recent documents will be displayed on the main screen of the app. Touch "Home page" to filter files by type (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, PDF and more);

Step 3. To open a document on OneDrive, tap on the folder icon in the upper right corner of the screen, and go to "OneDrive – Personal". Once this is done, browse through the folders to locate the file;

Step 4. Touch the "+" button and select "Document" to create a new Word, Excel or PowerPoint file;

Step 5. You can scan documents, spreadsheets and presentations using your cell phone camera, create blank documents or from templates from Microsoft. At the last option, the template gallery will be displayed. Tap to download the file and start editing;

Step 6. In the "Aes" tab you will find different resources, such as converting image to text or table, signing documents and scanning PDF, QR Code reader and more.
