Google needs to test new gaming platform and rewards participants with free copy of the game of the moment
THE Google is offering a great reward for people who play Assassin’s Creed: Odyssey on the company’s new streaming platform, named Project Stream.
Anyone who plays for an hour on the platform will win a free copy (for PC or Mac) of the latest game from one of Ubisoft’s most famous franchises.
Located in Greece, the game is currently being sold on Uplay for R $ 79.99, but its official price is R $ 159.99. Here’s how it works:
Free copies for those who test new platform
THE Google announced his platform own of games in October of that year, and for now, the single game available on Project Stream is really the Assassins’s Creed: Odyssey.
To test the viability of the platform, the company chose one of the biggest launches of the year, and those who participate in the tests will receive a free copy as a reward.

To win, you need to play an hour on the platform in streaming. After that, you can now download Assassin’s Creed: Odyssey on your machine, but the function will only be available until the 15th of January next year, and unfortunately, it’s only valid we United States.
To play, you need a PC (or Xbox or PlayStation 4 hardware) with good specifications, and obviously, a powerful graphics card. It makes sense for the company to use Assassin’s Creed: Odyssey, as it already launches the platform reaching its target audience.
Assassin’s Creed: Odyssey is a strategy to attract players
Google already realized that the streaming games is one of the trends for the coming years, and is not measuring efforts to surpass its competitors.

There is a small number of companies that already have their own gaming platform. The service of Sony, called Playstation Now, (not yet available in Brazil) already offers more than 600 titles for players.
Another company that has already announced its arrival in this market is Microsoft. Named for Project xCloud, the company responsible for producing the Xbox is designing its own platform for streaming andn new generation consoles, possibly on the console being called Xbox Scarlett.

THE startup French called Blade also has a streaming platform, and the Nvidia (yes, the chip maker), has also entered this market.
Project Stream’s future is still uncertain
The company has not yet said whether it will turn this streaming platform into a consumer product (where people would have to pay to use it), but for sure, there is great potential in this venture.

THE Google wants to test the infrastructure of its streaming platform first, then start adding more third-party games. It may also be that the Project Stream can be used only as backend (where only servers are used, but another company runs the platform).
Anyway, the company now needs people to test this new venture, and a free copy of Assassin’s Creed: Odyssey it’s just a reward in exchange for data and feedbacks valuable.
There is still no prediction of when the Project Stream will be available in Brazil, but you can access the platform’s website for free.
