NuConta, by default, invests the user's money in public treasury bonds. The amounts are applied on behalf of Nubank and there is no protection from the Credit Guarantee Fund. However, users who want the FGC guarantee can activate the new Bank Deposit Receipt (RDB) investment option. The application yield is the same 100% of the CDI.
In the following tutorial, learn how to enable RDB investment in NuConta to invest your money with the FGC guarantee. The procedure was performed on an iPhone 8 with iOS 12, but the tips also apply to the version of the Nubank Android app.

Step 1. Open the Nubank app and tap on its name at the top of the screen. In the app's options menu, tap "Set UpNewAccount";

Step 2. Now open "Deposit Options" and tap "I want to activate" at the bottom of the screen;

Step 3. Finally, press "OK". Deposits now made at NuConta will be applied to Bank Deposit Receipts and are guaranteed by the Credit Guarantee Fund. Your previous balance will continue to be invested in public securities.
